Explore the signals behind the trends
What is Trend Earth?
Trend Earth brings search trends, Wikipedia readership and source headlines into one interactive world globe, with links to the evidence behind each observation.
Compare attention across countries
See where a topic appears in the sources we track. Use country, source and category filters to explore technology, culture, business, sport and other topics. Open a topic to inspect its recorded dates, measures and original links.
What the sources tell you
- Google Trends: trending search terms and reported traffic lower bounds for the tracked countries.
- Wikipedia Analytics: daily readership observations with privacy-rounded pageview ceilings by reader country.
- News and official releases: attributed headlines and links for context. A headline alone is not measured popularity.
Understand the evidence
Search volume, pageviews and news coverage measure different things. Trend Earth keeps them separate. Countries usually refer to the audience searching or reading, not an event location. Connections on the globe do not prove where a trend started or how it spread.
Share a topic
Select a topic on the globe and choose Copy topic link. Its share page includes source observations and an Open this trend on the globe link. Recent share pages remain available even when a topic leaves the current feeds.
Public beta
Source coverage is partial and update times vary by source. New observations appear after local AI classification and validation. A category is an AI-assisted interpretation, not independent verification of the source's claims. No account is required to explore public topics.
